Monday, February 7th, for the third webinar of the Biobridge winter season, we were fortunate to have Professor Armin Keshmiri and Mr Bilal Barkatali in a clinical case battle on Knee musculoskeletal disorders.
In addition to being a senior clinician with extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery, Prof Armin Keshmiri (Munich) has published in over 50 scientific publications in internationally renowned journals as well as various book chapters and articles for trade journals. Mr. Barkatali is a senior NHS consultant at Salford Royal University Teaching NHS Trust. He is also actively involved in teaching and training young doctors and surgeons of the future. Mr. Barkatali is also widely published in many peer reviewed orthopaedic journals.
The surgeons cordially confronted each other on clinical cases from their own experience. The cases presented 3 very different knee patient profiles according to age, the severity of their arthritic disease and the location of their pain.
The cases were presented in such a way as to allow the establishment of a diagnosis via :
• Clinical observation and examination
• The patient’s history and previous treatments
• Clinical, pathological, biological, and imaging (X-ray and MRI) aspects
• the patient’s expectation
The webinar participants were able to participate live in this debate via a fun interactive voting questionnaire and by Q&A.
The Doctors then each presented the procedures they had performed, illustrated by images. Additionally, the patient’s outcome, follow-up and the patient’s feedback on the post-treatment results were shown.
The session is now accessible in replay on the Biobridge site. Content includes medical and surgical procedures.
We hope to meet you Monday for the next event of the program on Female Alopecia. The next musculoskeletal event: Post treatment do’s & don’ts is on Feb 21st.
